人们说广州是最具中国味道的城市：八百万人口，一座失控的都市，过去在混凝土和柏油之下消失。Rob Rombout 与录像艺术家 Robert Cahen 跟随五个人，他们夹在两种文化、两种制度、两种艺术观念之间。在他们与城市之间，总隔着什么：一扇窗、一张照片、一幅画，或是一种外语。影片追问：身在中国，同时又不在中国，究竟意味着什么。
